This early view looks just amazing Thom! Congratulations. I think the seamless shift from Renaissance to Pre-Raphaelite was pretty interesting. As for the big idea of finding a new renaissance in our times - I think that's great. Let me know if you ever want contributors. Also happy to do a spotlight on my blog on your larger vision for the journal if you are interested.
It looks absolutely great, but I wish it wasn't in Flash. I'd like to read it on my tablet. Then again, if it was downloadable I could read it on my tablet on the commuter train (no Wi-Fi). Still, a great job.
Love it, just a shame it would cost so much to make a print edition. The renaissance fair pictures actually made the fairs make sense. We don't really have them here and they always seemed kinda bizarre. I can see now they're not seriously trying to recreate a period of time as have some themed fun and cosplay. Superb photos though.
Thank you Tam B, anon and Peter! I so appreciate the comments. Tam B, you know that we're in touch.Anon, the final and real output of the journal will be readable on all devices, if nothing more than a downloadable PDF that can easily be seen on iPads and such.Peter, I'm so glad you appreciate the photos. I could've shown twice as many (with so many beautiful women), but of course I showed too many as is.Yes, a print edition is prohibitive for my resources, hence thank goodness for digital magic!
Hi Thom, As you know, I love the Journal- the articles, your page design, your illustrations and your portraits, and I appreciate all of your hard work producing it. It’s a beautiful achievement. ~ Diane
Yay, thanks Diane! Let's hope it's just the beginning!
Awesome, LOVE it (think I've got tears in my eyes, silly me)Can't wait for the next issue, will promote your incredible work in The Hague, Holland!(silly) Saahabi
THANK you! Tears of that sort aren't silly to me and are most appreciated! Any promotion for interest is going to be very helpful!
